LegalAIWorld

About Us

LegalAIWorld is an independent publication covering artificial intelligence in legal practice — the research platforms, contract review tools, chatbots and drafting assistants now being sold to law firms, and the professional rules that govern using them.

It is written and edited by a team of experienced lawyers. We publish under the LegalAIWorld masthead rather than under individual bylines, which means you cannot check us by name. So we think the burden falls on us to be checkable in the way that actually matters: by showing our work. Every standard below is one you can hold us to on any page of this site.

How we work

Primary sources first

Pricing comes from the vendor's own pricing page, read on a stated date, not from another publication's summary. Ethics rules come from the opinion itself, not from a secondhand write-up of it.

Published vs reported

Where a vendor publishes a price, we quote it and date it. Where a vendor publishes nothing, we say so plainly and label any third-party figure as unconfirmed. We never blend the two into a single number.

No paid placement

No vendor has ever paid for a position, a rating, or a mention on this site, and none can. Rankings are editorial. If that ever changes for anything other than editorial judgment, it will be disclosed on the page itself.

We say what we don't know

Our articles carry explicit limitations sections. If we haven't run a controlled test, we don't imply that we have — we point you to the researchers who did.

What we won't do

We will not present a vendor's marketing claim as a finding, invent a price we could not verify, or recommend a tool on the strength of a demo alone.

Legal technology is a category where the buyer is frequently a busy lawyer, the seller is frequently a well-funded sales organisation, and the price is frequently hidden on purpose. Our only reason to exist is being useful in that gap.

Corrections

Prices move, products get renamed and merged, and vendor terms change without notice. Some of what we publish will go out of date, and some of it will simply be wrong.

If you have a current quote, a contract term, or a first-hand experience that contradicts something on this site, we want to see it — corrections make the page better for the next reader. Tell us what's wrong and we will fix it and note the change.

How this site is funded

Some links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you buy through them at no additional cost to you. Where that applies, it is disclosed on the page. A commercial relationship never buys a ranking, a rating, or favourable coverage — the full policy is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

We do not run display advertising, and we do not sell your data.

This is not legal advice

Nothing on LegalAIWorld is legal advice, and reading it does not create a solicitor-client or attorney-client relationship. Our coverage of ethics opinions, court orders and regulation is general information about published sources. Rules differ by jurisdiction and change frequently. Before you rely on any of it in practice, check your own jurisdiction's current rules and, where relevant, your malpractice carrier's position. See our Disclaimer for the full terms.
